CLARKSVILLE. DAN: WE HAVE LEARNED THAT TWO PEOPLE ARE DEAD AFTER A TERRIBLE CRASH ALONG US-22 AND OHIO 3 HERE NEAR CLARKSVILLE ROAD IN CLARKSVILLE HERE IN WARREN COUNTY. THIS CRASH HAPPENED JUST BEFORE 3:00 ACCORDING TO OHIO STATE TROOPERS. WE ARE TOLD A 40-YEAR-OLD MAN FROM HILLSBORO AND A 72-YEAR-OLD WOMAN WHO LIVES JUST A MILE FROM HERE WERE BOTH KILLED IN THIS CRASH. WE’RE TOLD THE MAN WAS IN THE CHEVY HHR AND WENT LEFT OF CENTER, HITTING THAT WOMAN HEAD-ON. CREWS ARE WORKING TO GET THE ROAD BACK OPEN AND TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF WHAT HAPPENED HERE. AND SO FAR INVESTIGATORS AREN’T SURE WHAT LED UP TO THIS AS THAT CAR WENT ACROSS LEFT OF CENTER THERE. WE ARE TOLD DRUGS AND ALCOHOL ARE NOT CONSIDERED FACTORS AND RIGHT NOW, THEY’RE NOT ABLE TO TELL US THAT SPEED WAS A FACTOR BECAUSE THAT INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING. MIKE: THIS IS SOME STORY.
