NORRISTOWN, PA — A new medical marijuana dispensary has officially opened its doors in West Norriton.
Liberty Cannabis’ new dispensary is located on 2030 W. Main Street, number 11. It will be one of three Liberty operations in the area.
“It’s only natural for a company called Liberty to open its doors in a city so defined by a spirit of liberation,” Josh Genderson, founder and CEO of Liberty parent Holistic Industries, in a statement. “Our goal is to serve medical cannabis patients in and around Philadelphia with individualized care, innovative products and exceptional experiences.”
Liberty includes a wide range of products designed for specific reasons. Different products focus on mood improvement, injuries or illnesses, or other patient issues. Products are organized by the most significant effects which the company says they have on patients, including vitality, clarity, harmony, tranquility, or serenity.
The West Norriton dispensary joins several others in the Philadelphia area presently open: including locations in Phoenixville, Devon, Sellersville, and Abington. Liberty Cannabis also has locations in Bensalem and Philadelphia, both of which are opening soon.
According to the state, more than 16,600 patients have registered to participate in the medical marijuana program, and more than 3,800 of them have already been certified by a physician.
The state’s medical marijuana program was signed into law in April 2016. Full implementation of the medical marijuana program, including the approval of more locations to sell to patients, is expected at some point in 2018.
