A few obstacles lie ahead of a company looking to open a marijuana dispensary in the town of Marshfield.
Valerio Romano-the attorney representing Health Circle Incorporated says currently the company is looking to open a dispensary for medical and recreational marijuana.
And Romano says that is where the problem lies locally- the town has a provision in the bylaws that says you can’t have two principle uses on the same parcel- and medical and recreational cannabis count as two different principle uses therefore needing zoning relief from the Marshfield Zoning Board of Appeals.
The hearing was scheduled for Monday, but instead Romano says there will be a continuance issued.
If the continuance is granted, Health Circle will be scheduled to go in front of the Zoning Board of Appeals on April 14th.
