M3 Ventures, a marijuana dispensary in Mashpee that is also known as Triple M, is in the process of seeking approval to use two temporary structures to begin recreational marijuana sales during the construction of a permanent facility.
Kevin O’Reilly, the chief operating officer of M3 Ventures, said on Wednesday, July 22, that with the temporary structures in place, recreational sales could begin at the dispensary on Echo Road as soon as this fall, although an exact time frame has yet to be established.
“We’re hoping to have recreational sales sometime, optimistically, in the fall,” Mr. O’Reilly said.

“We won’t open for recreational sales until the parking lot is there,” he said. “We’ll need that parking space to accommodate the recreational customers.”
The temporary structures would be attached to the existing 1,500-square-foot, medical-use dispensary to allow recreational sales to commence during the construction of a 3,700-square-foot extension to the existing structure.
Following the installation of the temporary wings, the Cannabis Control Commission would have to complete a final walk-through to approve the structure before it could open, Mr. O’Reilly said.
The temporary and permanent structures both require building permits for work to commence, Mr. O’Reilly said.
