Oklahoma City Police say a man is behind bars, accused of robbing a dispensary over the weekend.

According to police reports, Friday night a woman was sitting at the front desk at Along Came Mary Dispensary near Britton and May, when a man came in aggressively.

She told officers the man grabbed her by the hair and slammed her against the glass and counter, demanding money, and marijuana from the store. She claims he was also holding a handgun. She gave him as much cash as they had and as much weed would fit in his bag. He then fled the store.

Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle at an apartment complex near of NW 122nd. Officers saw the suspect get into the vehicle and tried to stop him, but he sped away.

Officers followed the suspect until he got to another apartment complex, where he got out on foot. They were able to catch up to him and placed him into custody. He was identified as 19-year-old Jarmal Burris.

According to reports, at least 2-3 pounds of marijuana was taken stolen from the dispensary and a little less than $1,000 in cash.

News 9’s Hunter McKee spoke to investigators and those at the dispensary. He’ll have more on this story tonight at 5.
