Sixth recreational marijuana dispensary to open in Grand Rapids –

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — The company that held the first sales of recreational marijuana in Michigan is opening its first dispensary in Grand Rapids.

On Friday, Feb. 26, Exclusive Brands will hold a grand opening for its dispensary and medical marijuana provisioning center at 2350 29th St. SE

The cannabis retail store, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, is the sixth recreational dispensary to open in Grand Rapids.

“We are very excited to announce the opening of this new retail store location in Grand Rapids and to work with the local community on helping with the economic rebound in a troubling time — and on new social equity programs and other initiatives,” Narmin Jarrous, chief development officer at Exclusive Brands, said in a statement.

“For Exclusive Brands, our role in helping and contributing to the local community is always our top priority, and we’re excited to open up access to top industry brands like Kushy Punch and Platinum Vape.”

Exclusive Brands has two other dispensaries in Michigan — one in Kalamazoo and another in Ann Arbor. The Ann Arbor location held the first sales of recreational marijuana in Michigan in December 2019.

One-eighth of an ounce of marijuana flower at the Grand Rapids location is billed at about $35 to $60 depending on the strain. In addition to marijuana flower, the dispensary also offers pre-rolled joints, edibles, vape cartridges, concentrates and topicals.

The dispensary is expected to create more than 40 retail positions.
