State orders recall of pre-rolled marijuana products from Lapeer dispensary, 11 others in Michigan – Thecountypress


LAPEER — The Marijuana Regulatory Agency (MRA) issued a public health and safety bulletin today, notifying the public of a marijuana product recall of contaminated “pre-rolls” from retail outlets located in Lapeer, Bay City, Hazel Park, Detroit, Traverse City, Ann Arbor, Lansing, River Rouge, Ferndale, Quincy, Lowell and Negaunee. There are four medical marijuana dispensaries currently open in Lapeer; six are approved in the city.

All contaminated pre-rolls have a label that indicates the license number of the marijuana business that sold the marijuana product as well as tag number assigned to the product in the statewide monitoring system. An MRA investigation is still on-going and may result in additional future recalls.

The recalled products in Lapeer were sold at the Pier Provisioning Center, 2401 W. Genesee St. The products include:

Package No. 1A4050100005016000006255 Fruity Pebbles Pre Roll 1g sold between June 10 and Aug. 3. Package No. 1A4050100005016000006256 Jungle Juice Pre Roll 1g sold between June 10 and Aug. 3. Package No. 1A4050100005016000006257 Purple Eurkle Pre Roll 1g sold between June 10 and Aug. 3. Package No. 1A4050100005016000006258 OG Kush Pre Roll 1g sold between June 10 and Aug. 3. Package No. 1A4050100005016000006259 Pineapple Cheese Pre Roll 1g sold between June 10 and July 27. Package No. 1A4050100005016000006260 Nightmare Cookies Pre Roll 1g Sold between June 10 and Aug. 3.

Area consumers who have these contaminated pre-rolls in their possession should return them to the provisioning center where they were purchased for proper disposal.

Provisioning centers must notify patients and caregivers who purchased these pre-rolls of the recall. Consumers who have experienced symptoms after using these products should report their symptoms and product use to their physician. Consumers are requested to report any adverse product reactions to the MRA via email: MRA-Enforcement@michigan.gov or via phone: 517- 284-8599.
